What is Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) shipping?
DDP shipping is when the seller takes complete responsibility for delivering the goods to the buyer’s destination. The seller bears all costs and risks in order fulfilment. These include the cost of transportation, customs clearance, taxes, and so on.

What are the advantages of DDP shipping?
The customer only has to pay once. They do not have to worry about risks, processes, and costs involved in transport and customs clearance.
It also reduces the time stuck in customs waiting for duties/VAT to be paid.

What are some of the costs involved in DDP shipping?
We have to pay DHL Express to fill out the DDP paperwork. They charge a flat rate handling fee of $30 AUD.
Lower value orders will be charged $89.70 AUD (or your local currency equivalent). $59.70 AUD of that fee is the shipping cost, and $30 AUD is the customs handling fee.
If your order is more than $1200 AUD (or your local currency equivalent) and qualifies for "FREE SHIPPING", you're still required to pay the $30 AUD customs handling fee that DHL charge us.

Wrapping Up
Previously we shipped Delivered At Place (DAP), which meant we didn't collect duties/VAT on checkout.
After shipping your order, DHL would email you an invoice for any duties, VAT and an admin fee, to be paid by you before the package could clear customs.
DDP is simply a prepaid duties and VAT process.
Ignite Digi is based in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and we use DHL Express to deliver your accessories as quickly as possible!

Since 2020, DHL Express have been WAY overestimating their delivery date so that they look awesome when they deliver "early"... we've based the below numbers on the thousands of real shipments we've made to you.
We can ship using your DHL account if you prefer, but no FEDEX accounts sorry. We've experienced poor service, large delays and inflated prices from FEDEX in Tasmania.
